Bellesini Academy employs experienced educators who are committed to teaching an academically rigorous curriculum in a highly structured, mission based environment.  Interested candidates should be willing to work collaboratively with a small team of teachers and administrators, and must exhibit a passion for their subject matter, a commitment to working with adolescents, and an eagerness to embrace the school's mission and culture.

Full-Time Volunteer Positions

Without the heroic efforts of dedicated, energetic full-time volunteers, Bellesini Academy could not operate.  Volunteers face a challenging, yet very rewarding experience, as they immerse themselves in various aspects of life at Bellesini Academy. The school asks for a great deal of commitment from its volunteer staff, trusting that each person realize the tremendous contribution they make to the education and development of young men growing up in a disadvantaged community. Recruiting high caliber, devoted individuals is critical to the school’s success. 

Our full-time volunteer program is a wonderful opportunity to serve inner-city youth and gain valuable work experience.  As a full-time volunteer you may:

• assist and/or teach in the classroom
• teach in the reading enrichment program (in small groups of 4-5 students)
• coach seasonal athletic teams
• supervise after-school programs such as art club, chess club, newspaper, disection club, and many others
• supervise students on field trips such as camping, museums, and sporting events
• assist students with homework during study time
